What Do You Treasure Most?

Ask a Friend Ask a Friend
It’s easy to think that simply having money will give you satisfaction. Thoughts like, “If I can make enough money, I will finally be happy,” are often on people’s minds or are reinforced by culture. Yet, how many rich people are truly satisfied?

The Bible says, “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money.” (Ecclesiastes 5:10). Money does not satisfy because the person who dies with the most money still dies. And, at the point of death, money is irrelevant because it can’t keep you from dying and you can’t take it with you.

Consider filling your desire for satisfaction not with money but with a relationship with God. God is offering you a personal relationship and promises that He will satisfy your heart. Unlike money, God will never leave you. Although people who have a relationship with God still die, they are promised an abundant life. This abundant life begins during your life on earth and continues into eternity spent in heaven with Him. That’s a treasure money can’t buy.
